Over the last year six, community workshops, three steering committee meetings and one pop-up survey station have taken place in the Winstanley community. Over the summer, Mt. Sinai Development Corporation with the help of Rise has been compiling and analyzing the hundreds of input and information provided by the community to determine what should be in the community plan and we are now ready to begin the writing phase of the community plan.

The community plan will provide recommendations under the following four themes: Economic Mobility, Residential Vitality, Public Realm and Social Well-Being. These recommendations will be geared toward realizing the Winstanley community’s vision for a “historically rich and vibrant community that is revitalized, safe, thriving and family-focused which will establish the cornerstone of our resurrection.” As Mt. Sinai Development Corporation and Rise work with community partners to draft the plan they will also engage the steering committee and various resource groups to garner feedback on the draft plan.
